The ASP® Spectrum DF Police Duty Flashlight is law-enforcement grade but is also perfect as an everyday carry flashlight. Its Cree LED blub emits 300 lumens of light that can reach up to 289 feet (88 meters). It can also be operated in two light modes. The first light mode is the primary one of 300 lumens and cannot be changed, but the second mode allows you to choose between 5 options; low (15 lm), strobe (230 lm), red (40 lm), green (70 lm), and blue (15lm). Please note, only one secondary mode can be used at a time. There is a selection process that must be completed to change the secondary modes function. Each light has its uses. Red light helps preserve your night vision so you can see your surroundings clearly. Green extends the battery run time and is less likely to startle animals. Blue light cuts through fog and can track blood and other bodily fluids. The strobe light can signal for help or be used to temporarily blind an attacker. On top of that, it has a 3-position twist selector that allows you to choose how the on-off switch operates. It can be set to intermittent, which means the light shines on when you hold the button down, or constant-on, which means when the switch is pressed on the light will stay on. Lastly, there is a lock option that prevents it from powering on at all. Power for this light is provided by one included 18650 rechargeable battery that provides constant-on light for the following runtimes; 1.5 hrs (high), 43 hrs (low), 4.25 hrs (strobe), 11.5 hrs (red), 9.5 hrs (green), and 13hrs (blue). The battery is recharged in the flashlight via the built-in USB port and included cable and there are battery indicator lights to signal how much power remains. Additionally, it is made of precision-machined aerospace aluminum making it impact-resistant up to drops of 6.6 feet (2 meters). Furthermore, an O-ring seal makes it water resistant and the barrel is wrapped in an all-weather foam vinyl for a non-slip grip in all weather conditions. Lastly, it comes with a pocket clip that is removable and adjustable for handsfree carrying options.
